Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes.

If nothing else, you will be a mile away AND you will have their shoes!

warning geekstuff alert!

It has been pointed out to me that my blog does not look professional enough and that I should steal attribues from other web pages to correct this. So for the next while I am going to tweak various things on the site and see what happens.

It may take a while to come right. Even though I have various tools to help; I still do a lot of editing and formatting of the HTML by hand.

days like that!

Any day where I have to get the 9:00 bus in and the 10:00 bus home and they are both not AM or PM is not a good day. Not even skipping out of half the gym session bought me much time. And to see two in a row! Bah! Humbug.

Saturday is Darn’s birthday. He managed to make it to 32 without being murdered by his friends, enemies, jealous boyfriends/husbands or anybody else. Quite a surprise really!

Some photos of Darren from Donogh’s Wedding in 2003

Apparently I have been a bit presumptive and Darren is only 31 and not 32, or even 17 as you may have previously thought!!! Like anyone gives a fuck really.

Anyway, there is still time for him to be murdered by his friends, enemies, jealous boyfriends/husbands or anybody else before he turns 32. Please take a ticket from the dispenser and form an orderly queue.

My Green Notebook is missing along with my good pen that Jamie and Hilary gave me and some miscellaneous sheets of A4 paper. Probably I put them down in the lab or after a meeting somewhere, but I can’t think where and a quick walk around this morning didn’t help. Maybe walking around the car-park wasn’t the best idea

Anyway, if anyone finds them let me know.

Haven’t done any foot blogging for a while. Mostly because I haven’t been doing that much exercise in the last few weeks. This week everything is back to normal; fencing, a couple of aerobics classes, some gym stuff and even a walk into college in the mornings. One morning anyway! I’m even thinking of maybe possible considering going back running at lunchtime, now that Denis has time again. After all our december fun run isn’t so far away.

In general the feet/knees have been fine, some pain now and again but no discomfort from just walking around as there was before. Initially I was sort of fighting against the orthotics, especially in fencing where I had been using some modified positions to make sure my lunges etc were good. This wednesday everything was more relaxed, probably in part thanks to aerobics on tuesday and my stance was pretty good (for once!!). And it looks like Nev will have my epee ready soon so I get to move back in time and up the hierarchy of weapons. A few weeks ago we had visitors from Brighton, and while I didn’t get a chance to get a quick rapier lesson, that looks like a lot of fun as well.
